Kylie Minogue to ring in 40th birthday with a European tour

KylieX2008 opens in Paris on May 6, just days before Minogue turns 40, and reaches the UK on June 26.
The star, who has returned to the stage after battling cancer, will play in Belfast, Glasgow, Manchester and London's O2 Arena.

Tour: Kylie is set to return to the stage with a European tour next year
The tour is inspired by Minogue's new album, X, which is expected to reach number three in the charts this weekend, on its first week of release.
The singer said: "I am putting together a show that is going to be a new and exciting experience for both the audience and myself.
"The eclectic mix of sounds on X is affording me an opportunity to explore and develop a new live show that will be fresh, exhilarating and innovative.

"I can't wait to share it with you next year."
Tickets go on sale on Monday priced at around £49, the same price as Minogue's last spectacular Showgirl Homecoming tour.

"The new show will be a totally different concept to previous Minogue spectaculars, which have seen her fuse her remarkable creativity with groundbreaking technology to become one of the most respected live performers of our time."
Minogue cancelled her Showgirl tour when she was diagnosed with breast cancer in 2005.
She returned in 2006 with the Showgirl Homecoming Tour.
