Kylie the singleton's quiet birthday

Faced with the bleak prospect of spending the first birthday since her split from Olivier Martinez without a male companion, Kylie Minogue had no hesitation in calling up little sister Dannii to keep her company.

Both were smiling broadly as they headed to the Rex Cinema in Soho together, with Kylie appearing to have moved on from the end of her four year relationship as she celebrated her 39th birthday.

Earlier in the day Kylie's flat in Chelsea was inundated with presents and cards from friends and fans.

No doubt Dannii did not charge as much to sing "Happy Birthday" to her sister last night.
