Life's too short, just do it, says unrepentant Amy Winehouse

Back on stage: Amy Winehouse performed in the Netherlands last night

In an interview for a new tour DVD she revealed: "I'm quite an insecure person. I'm very insecure about the way I look. I mean, I'm a musician I'm not a model. The more insecure I felt, the more I'd drink."

"And to Tracey Trash, who does my hair, I'd be like, 'Bigger! Bigger!' - like the more insecure I feel, the bigger my hair has to be."

Despite her personal battles, she concludes that life was "too short" and tells others to "just do it".

Meanwhile, the singer was back to her best as she took to the stage in the Netherlands last night.

Winehouse, arrested in Norway last week with husband Blake Fielder-Civil for possessing cannabis, was on form for the next leg of her European tour and even enjoyed a cigarette on stage - legally.

She could barely talk when arrested but her vocal chords were in fine fettle which will please Londoners with tickets to her November gigs.
