It's a scratch! Lily Allen worked overtime to be on her best behaviour

It might be a sign of things to come - Allen has spoken of her plans for a more subdued lifestyle, saying she hopes to curb her excessive drinking.

She told New magazine: "I have been getting really drunk because I've been so nervous about doing bad shows."

"It's not good and that's why I want to get back into the studio. I've actually pulled myself aside and said it will kill me if I keep it up."

Allen recently experienced a high profile meltdown, calling herself "fatter and uglier" than Amy Winehouse, and threatening to have liposuction in a MySpace post.

Despite cancelling parts of her US tour, Allen is continuing efforts to crack the American market, where her album has sold around 30,000 copies.
