Having secured a place at Cambridge, there is no doubt that Lily Cole has brains to match her beauty.
So it is fitting that the supermodel has been cast in her first movie role as a swot.
On the set of the new St Trinian's film, the 18-year-old wore bunches, spectacles and a knee-length skirt.

Instead, with a pair of oval-framed spectacles perched on her nose and her hair tied up in bunches, she shunned the vertiginous stilettoes favoured by her chums in preference of a pair of sensible, flat-soled pumps.
Her only act of rebellion, it seems, is a small MP3 player seen dangling from her neck.

Actor Rupert Everett will be putting young school girls in their place
Miss Cole, who has a cameo role in the British-made film, is appearing alongside Rupert Everett and Colin Firth in the forthcoming remake.

The reprise of the St Trinian's genre comes 27 years after the release of the last film, Wildcats of St Trinian's.
The four original cult films - together with the poorly-received 1980 revival - were based on a fictional boarding school that had previously featured in illustrations published by reclusive cartoonist, Ronald Searle, during the 1940s.
They centred around the lacrosse-playing, boy-chasing, adventures of the motley crew of ungovernable girls.
This movie is likely, however, to be Miss Cole's last film part for some time as she is set to embark on a three-year Politics and English course at Cambridge University, after gaining 4 A's at A-Level last year.
