Lindsay Lohan checks out of rehab after two-month stint

Reunited: Lindsay with her father Michael
Troubled actress Lindsay Lohan has checked out of rehab after two months of treatment, according to reports in America.

The Mean Girls star left the Cirque Lodge centre in Utah with her father Michael on Friday - but may return for outpatient clinics.

A source told People magazine that the actress had stayed for so long "because she wanted to" and was now ready to "start her life over".

Miss Lohan, 21, checked into rehab - her third stint this year - shortly after her arrest for drink driving on July 24, when she was pulled over in California after chasing her assistant's mother.

It was her second drink driving arrest in less than two months. Last month, a judge ordered that she serve one day in jail.

Lohan said in a statement released by her publicist last August: "It is clear to me that my life has become completely unmanageable because I am addicted to alcohol and drugs."

Miss Lohan is poised to start work on a new film, Dare To Love Me, in Los Angeles this month.
