Lindsay Lohan: 'I'm not an addict'

Despite a month long stint in rehab and ongoing AA meetings, trouble actress Lindsay Lohan has talked down her problems with addiction.

Lohan told Allure magazine: "It's so weird that I went to rehab. I always said I would die before I went to rehab.

"I don't know that I'm necessarily an addict."

Still, the 21-year-old said she found the Hollywood clinic Wonderland to be a sanctuary.

On arrival, she found "a quiet room, all white, with parquet, and it was different! I just felt safe," said the Mean Girls starlet.

"I thought, 'I'm going to stay here tonight.' And I stayed there. For a month. It was great."

Since checking out in February, she has again been a regular on the Hollywood social scene.
