Lindsay Lohan revealed an incredible body on the set of Ugly Betty yesterday in the latest A-list must-have dress.
Designed by eighties French designer Herve Leger, Lohan pulled off the famously unforgiving bandage dress admirably.
Teamed with sexy fishnets and lace-up stilettos, the actress proved that she's got all the necessary style credentials for her cameo on the hit US show which is styled by Sex and the City fashion legend Patricia Field.

Figure-hugging: Lindsay Lohan stunned onlookers with her fantastic figure as she took a break from filming in New York yesterday
Of course Lohan isn't the first to have cottoned on to the fact that a bandage design is THE way to draw attention to a gym-honed bod.
Lately A-listers in their droves have been clamouring for the figure-hugging designs.
The latest wave of red carpet events has seen everyone from Elle Macpherson and Rachel Weisz to Lindsay Lohan and Kate Garraway squeeze themselves into the super-tight dresses.

Elle 'The Body' Macpherson unsurprisingly pulled it off beautifully at the GQ Men of The Year Awards last week, while Rachel Weisz was all sexy curves at a Toronto Film Festival party for InStyle magazine.
Celebrities including Maria Sharapova and Jane Birkin's fashionista daughter Lou Doillon were front row at the Max Azria-designed Herve Leger show in New York on Sunday, appropriately clad in the must-have dresses.

And even GMTV presenter Kate Garraway is a fan of the trend, sporting a £159 royal-blue copy of the bandage style dress by high street label Reiss - the very same dress worn by exiting show host Fiona Phillips in an interview following her resignation, publicising a growing rivalry between the TV blondes.

Young Hollywood loves the bandage look, and chic OC starlet Rachel Bilson made a cream halterneck version seem far more elegant than something so short and clingy should strictly be.
Fellow teen drama star Blake Lively was in turn spotted on the New York set of Gossip Girl in a Leger bandage dress.

Christina Aguilera has been flaunting her post-baby figure in Herve Leger, not unlike Naomi Watts, who wore Leger in a photo shoot following the birth of her first child.
Heroes' Hayden Panettiere flaunted the body that only a 19-year-old could have in a strapless version, while equally youthful songstress Joss Stone has been seen sporting a rainbow striped version.
Knocked Up star Katharine Heigel recently appeared on the cover of US Cosmopolitan magazine in a baby pink version, and Mariah Carey also opted for pink when she wore a bandage dress on Good Morning America earlier this year.

Michelle Ryan has been showing off her Bionic body in colour-of-the-moment purple, and even Geri Halliwell, who never misses an opportunity to talk about her body and the benefits of yoga proved her point in navy.
The list could go on. But can only those with a macrobiotic diet and a personal trainer carry off the Leger look?
The label's website says not. In fact it claims that the dresses, which retail for around £1000 each, 'sculpt the woman's body to perfection', not unlike a pair of Bridget Jones tummy-control knickers (albeit in a much more glamorous way).

This is probably the secret behind the feelgood factor that comes from wearing the revealing minidresses. At the recent catwalk show Lou Doillon said of the brand 'I'm so used to being a tomboy. Wearing these dresses it's the first time I feel like a real woman without being cutesy'.
And cutesy they are not. The figure-hugging designs are pure seduction material, magically lending curves where there should be, and making them disappear where they shouldn't.
Cleavage-enhancing and attention-grabbing, it is easy to understand why the A-list are well and truly under the Herve Leger spell. With a bandage dress they've got red carpet dressing all wrapped up.
