Lovebirds Sienna and Rhys pick a Christmas tree for their nest

He's the house guest that never left, now Rhys Ifans appears to be nesting mode with his girlfriend Sienna Miller.

The cosy pair, who braved the rainy weather in matching wellies, spent the afternoon searching for the perfect tree in preparation for their first Christmas together.

Having clearly abandoned efforts to keep their romance under wraps, they strolled along the street hand in hand during the Saturday afternoon outing.

The pair, who began their romance after the Welsh actor he was sleeping on her couch because "his houseboat was leaky", recently returned from a getaway to Mexico.

Meanwhile, it has emerged the pair are planning to record a duet together.

A source said: "Rhys really likes Oasis, particularly Noel Gallagher, so that's the kind of music he'd like to make"

Rhys, 39, who was in the original line up of Welsh rockers The Super Furry Animals, has returned to the studio to record new material.

And Sienna, is said to be keen to join him.

The source said: "Sienna also enjoys singing and has dreamed of one day being a rock star. Rhys has been encouraging her to do something about it."
