Mario blasts 'Mrs Scrubber' Lisa in couple's first BB row

Big Brother couple Mario Marconi and Lisa Appleton had their first big argument in the house today after the Sly Stallone-lookalike accused his girlfriend of acting like a doormat in the house.

Lisa is generally liked by everyone in the house, while Mario has received mixed opinions from the contestants.

During a chat in the kitchen, Mario told his girlfriend to assert herself and stop tidying up after the younger, lazier housemates.

Mario said: 'You’ve got to smell the coffee and realise other people aren’t going to cook.

'Throw a few spanners in the works, it’s too nice, too happy happy.'

It quickly appeared Mario's concerns were just his consideration for his girlfriend - he was also concerned she would outlast him in the programme.

He said: 'Otherwise, before we know it, I’ll be gone and you’ll still be here.

'They’re mugging you off. Have you come in here to cook, clean and be Mrs Scrubber?'

Lisa defended herself: 'I think you are wrong because I think this last week I asserted myself.

'I pulled up Kathreya and also I’ve had two days off from the kitchen, so I’m not being a mug.'

But Mario wouldn't back down: 'Take chances, assert yourself. This isn't real life, it is a game.'

Mario went on to accuse her lover of silencing her opinions.

He said: 'You’ve gone very quiet if you ask me. You are not as vocal as you are probably normally.

'Whereas I’m not, I think you are trying to just please everyone.'
