Girl power: Mel B called on her bandmates to help win over fans
In footage recoded during Mel B's trip to London to shoot their new video clip, Emma joked: "Please vote because she's fab. We need her in - because then she's not with us."
Their endorsement appeared to have the right effect on the show's judges – Mel B landed a score of 29 out of 30, securing the number one spot on the competition's leader board.

Osmond later explained on-air that "once in a while that happens to me when I get winded. I stop breathing." She punctuated her remark with a giggle.

Meanwhile, a sample of the Spice Girls' new single Headlines has leaked on to the internet.
The ballad, which has been described by Geri as "a big love song," is due for official release in November ahead of the group's world tour.
