Critics were again unimpressed, with the latest episode being described as "a creative disaster" by some quarters, and the arrival of former Grey's star Isaiah Washington failed to undo the damage.
Michelle, who found fame playing Zoe Slater in the BBC soap EastEnders, quit Albert Square in 2005 to concentrate on her film and theatre career, winning the role over a host of Hollywood stars.
While some have praised her take on the role made famous by Lindsay Wagner - Tom Shales from the Washington admired her "flinty pluck and fancy footwork" - the response has generally been lukewarm.
Michelle, who plays Jaime Sommers, has admitted she feels the pressure to live up the popular 70s hit: "I never led a show before. I never saw this much anticipation. I never saw so many fans who - how shall I put it - care."
The actress is also set to star in the upcoming horror movie Flick with Faye Dunaway.
Panned: reviewers savaged the first episode called it 'cliched' a 'total loss'
