Model Spice: Victoria Beckham and the girls hit the catwalk

The Spice Girls were out in full force during Milan Fashion Week, making a surprise appearance on the catwalk alongside their favourite designer Roberto Cavalli.

Victoria Beckham stole the show in a plunging tuxedo, while Geri Halliwell - always eager to stand out from her band mates - appeared to break the group's all black dress code with a shimmering gold ensemble.

The girls, who are in the midst of their world tour, paid tribute to the popular Italian designer, who was unveiling his Fall/Winter men's collection.

The group are no strangers to his handiwork - Cavalli was hand picked by the singers to create costumes for their comeback, which began late last year.

Ahead of the reunion, Cavalli revealed: "I met each one on their own so I could get an idea of their personality."

He went on to faithfully recreated some of the most memorable looks from their early days, adding a glamorous twist on outfits such as 35-year-old Geri's Union Jack dress by adding rhinestones and Swarovski crystals.

The design task proved to be no easy feat - the two-hour show includes eight costume changes for each Spice Girl.
