Mr Metrosexual Frank Lampard is all made up as he celebrates Chelsea's victory

It was more than just a glow of victory that brightened Frank Lampard's face during a party at London's Funky Buddha last night.

The football star looked to have applied a touch of make-up before heading off to celebrate Chelsea's 4-0 victory over Bordeaux.

But it appears metrosexual Frank needs to polish up his handiwork - the end result turned his face a peculiar, not to mention startling, shade of orange.

Frank left his favourite pink shirts in the wardrobe for this occasion, opting instead for a bejewelled Rolling Stones T-shirt.

The star partied with friends, including team mates Didier Drogba John Obi Mikel, at the popular club until 3am.

He was the toast of the night after scoring the first and set up two more goals as Chelsea kick off its Champions League campaign.

'We wanted to start well - we didn't last year and it made it more difficult for us,' Lampard told ITV after the match.

'The start of the second half was not so good but we came through well.'

The England midfielder added: 'I'm playing well and scoring goals and I'm part of a good team. It's enjoyable playing in this team.'
