Up until now, Fraser and Smith have lived together in a two-storey, ranch-style house on the outskirts of Los Angeles.
Canadian-born Fraser met actress/writer Smith at a Los Angeles barbecue hosted by her Reality Bites co-star Winona Ryder in 1993 and he was immediately smitten.
After Fraser proposed in 1997, the couple wed in the garden of the Bel Air Hotel in Los Angeles in September 1998.
It's been a busy year for Fraser - he recently completed production on the long-awaited Mummy sequel The Mummy: The Tomb of the Emperor and fantasy movie Inkheart, adapted from Cornelia Funke's best-selling novel.
