Muscles Andy Murray is in mint condition, pity about the hair though

He made his name as a scrawny teenager with a blistering backhand.

But this is Andy Murray with a new muscleman look, proving the wonderkid of British tennis has finally grown up.

Preparing for the Australian Open in Melbourne, Murray seemed to have taken the laidback Antipodean vibe to heart as he warmed up shirtless and sporting an unkempt head of long, curly hair.

What a difference two years makes: Murray's new look

The 20-year-old Scot's formidable frame is the result of intensive training and his enhanced physique will confound critics who have previously claimed that he was not strong enough to compete against older players.

Murray recent ly added Bikram yoga to his fitness regime.

It is particularly demanding because it is practised in a room heated to 42C (108f).

"It's really tough," he said.
