Myleene Klass: 'How I'm A Celebrity made me pregnant!'

Myleene Klass's showers in her bikini on I'm A Celebrity propelled her from being 'the girl in Hear'say' to full-blown celebrity.

But her stint in the jungle was not only responsible for her newfound fame as television presenter and a model for M&S.

In fact, as she has revealed in a new book entitled My Bump and Me, it was also the catalyst for her becoming a mother.

After leaving the jungle, and upon being reunited with boyfriend Graham Quinn in Australia, Myleene conceived her daughter, Ava, now six months.

The former Hear'Say singer revealed getting pregnant was a "happy accident", and that conception occurred within one hour of her leaving the jungle.

She wrote: "Gray and I had just one hour to spend together from the time I left the jungle to when I had to start work again — and we were determined to use it properly.

"There were dozens of journalists and television executives milling about nearby but, as it had been almost two months since we'd spent any time together, we decided to seize our moment.

"Gray was not even supposed to be in Australia as he was due to be working on a band's tour. I had missed him so much and was very emotional when I left the jungle thinking he wasn't going to be there.

"But when all the filming was finished, I crossed that famous bridge and saw him. It was a real Mills & Boon moment.

"We went running into each other's arms and Gray told me how much he had missed me and how he wanted us to get our act together and get married."

In an extract from her new book My Bump & Me, Myleene revealed in The Sun how she and her fiance bodyguard Graham, had always planned to marry and start a family one day but said "we certainly hadn't expected to do it the day I came out of the jungle."

Up until her appearance on the show, Myleene was best known as the girl who'd been in reality show band Hear'Say.

But she felt that an appearance of the gruelling show, which is set in the Australian outback, would give her career a kick-start.

And while stuck in the secluded I'm A Celebrity camp, she had no idea of the impact her jungle showers in her now iconic white bikini were having on the viewers back home.

She wrote: "In all honesty I never realised the producers were making such a big deal of the showers.

"After all, I wasn't showering any more than the next person! I was much more proud of my DIY achievements like building the camp a table and a broomstick. But nobody made a fuss of those."

But Myleene found, as well as providing the experience of a lifetime, being in the jungle was actually the perfect environment to prepare my body for pregnancy.

In her book, her advice for women wanting to get pregnant includes getting fit, detoxing, eating healthily and trying to stay relaxed.

And in the rainforest, the hikes, the physical activities, the meagre alcohol allowance and the protein-orientated meals meant, she said, "I was in the best condition of my life. I was away from all the stresses of modern-day living.

"And I was well-rested because I was sleeping when it got dark.

"I adored living at one with nature — even the spiders and bugs didn't bother me.

"But I wasn't to know nature was planning a little surprise for me."

My Bump & Me is published by Virgin Books at £14.99.
