Sticking up for Jesse: Nadine Coyle insists Jesse did not cheat on her while they were a couple

Earlier this year, pictures surfaced of the actor holding hands with a brunette after leaving rehab, but Nadine explains that the pair had already split.

She said: "We had broken up at that stage. I had come back from LA and we had split up. I think it was three weeks before those pictures came out. I just thought I'd rather not say anything."

She added: "Jesse was having a rough time personally in his life. I'm sure I'm a hard person to date, I'm always flying all over the world, and I just couldn't really be there for him it at an important time."

And while she may just be the world's most eligible bachelorette, the singer insists she loves being on her own.

The singer says she has no immediate plans to go solo

After a series of back to back relationships, she says: "I'm very happy being single."

Nadine also played down rumours she's set to leave the popular band for a solo career.

She said: "I have no definite plans to go solo soon. We're doing an album, we're so in the thick of Girls Aloud, and we're doing a video next week. It's a full schedule."
