Nadine leads from the front as the Girls are back in town

They are the hardest working girls in showbiz - and some might say the hardest partying - and after a fifteen date sold out arena tour, Girls Aloud certainly had good reason for a wild night out - but it all seemed rather tame.

Led from the front by lead singer Nadine, who wore a black maxi dress with a plunging neckline, the girls descended on London club Kitts to let their hair down with a £25,000 party after the 'Sound of Girls Aloud: Greatest Hits Tour' tour which ended in Belfast last night.

A smiling Nadine, who recently split with cheating ex-boyfriend, Desperate Housewives actor Jesse Metcalfe, looked stunning and seems to have put the heartbreak of her relationship behind her.

Bandmates Nicola, Kimberley, and Sarah opted for metallic themed dresses with Cheryl poured into a tight minidress.

Cheryl stepped out with husband Ashley, and she also brought mum Joan along for the party.

Unfortunately for Cheryl, who looked fab in her salmon pink glittery number, the Chelsea star chose to wear a bizarre lavender coloured polo-necked jumper and matching cardigan combo.

Maybe it was the presence of Cheryl's mum, because by the end of the night, the girls looked as if they'd barely touched a drop of the hard stuff.

The party seemingly passed without incident with only Nicola and Kimberley appearingly slightly worse for wear.

Even notorious hellraiser Sarah Harding disappointed by looking rather steady on her feet, after a night on the tiles. Although she was said to have spent most of the night cosying up to a new squeeze.

Following the tour, the girls will continue to work on their fifth release.

Sarah said: "We're just working on the next album at the moment, which should be out around October. And there will be no covers on this album."

It could be that the girls were a little exhausted after the fifteen date tour. But it's hardly what you would expect - come on girls, call yourself a pop group!
