Neighbours really ARE good friends for Lily Allen

Lilly Allen fulfilled a childhood dream when she made a cameo appearance in Australian TV soap Neighbours.

Soap star: Lily Allen, circled, with the Neighbours cast after her cameo on the show while on tour in Australia

The 24-year-old British singer is on tour Down Under and spent a day on the Ramsay Street set while in Melbourne.

She played herself in the episode, which will be aired in the UK in around six months, and posed with the cast for a photo that she later posted on her Twitter page.

It seems the cast were just as starstruck as Allen, and she signed autographs for actors including Matt Werkmeister, who plays Zeke Kinski.

Allen Tweeted: "OMFG! Just saw Paul Robinson and Libby Kennedy. Ok, so I did my scene. Me and doctor Karl [Kennedy] get our flirt on. Quite funny."

Allen joins a list of famous cameos on the soap, including Little Britain comics David Walliams and Matt Lucas who made an appearance in 2007.
