Nicola Roberts gets mashed at Gilgamesh

Things got rather Gilga-meshy when Camden bar and restaurant Gilgamesh celebrated its third birthday last night. The bash was in danger of being a Z-list washout until Girls Aloud caners Nicola Roberts and Sarah Harding arrived to turn things up a notch or three.

Classic party pose: Nicola Roberts gets down to the music, but later got down to the pavement

The party didn't get off to the best of starts when the celebrity guests comprised Mutya Buena, Kara and Hannah Tointon, Brooke Kinsella and, wait for it, Frank Bruno. Not quite the crowd you'd expect at Camden's most upmarket nightspot.

Falling over: Nicola takes a tumble

But, as the heavens opened, fortune smiled on the restaurant as Sarah and Nicola arrived — seemingly on a mission to drink all of the free alcohol on offer. Our spy said: "The girls got stuck in to the champagne like there was no tomorrow. They were dancing together wildly and put the other guests to shame.

"The party certainly kicked into gear once they turned up."

But there are consequences for everything, as Nicola found out. Not only did she come very close to a wardrobe malfunction with her low-cut dress, but she nearly chewed asphalt on the pavement outside.

One of the chaps she was with took a tumble as they stumbled along, taking the singer with him. Luckily Nicola's boyfriend Charlie Fennell was on hand to help her the rest of the way to their car. It looked to us as if she'll be wanting nothing aloud this morning.
