Nicole Kidman steps out with no sign of a baby bump just TEN days after giving birth

Actress Nicole Kidman has claimed many a gong for her acting, but now it seems she's staked a claim to another prize - shedding her baby fat in record time.

The Australian actress stepped out in her adopted home of Nashville, where she lives with husband Keith Urban looking remarkably svelte, which is all the more amazing as she gave birth just ten days ago.

Dressed casually in combat trousers, denim jacket and camisole vest, Nicole, who gave birth to daughter Sunday Rose on July 7th, looked more Hollywood star and less new mother as she nimbly exited her car.

Nicole Kidman has dropped her baby weight in record time. Seen right earlier this week, and left on July 3rd, four days before she gave birth

Nicole's slimline figure is hardly surprising as she continued doing rigorous exercise during her pregnancy, and remained strikingly slim throughout the nine months of her pregnancy .

Determined to avoid gaining a huge amount of weight during her pregnancy Nicole worked out with a trainer as much as five times a week.

She regularly endured hour long weight-training sessions, yoga sessions, powerwalking, and even took aerobic cycling classes in a bid to stay in shape while pregnant.

She was even reported to be in the gym the day before she gave birth.

Slimmed down: From the front their is the slightest of signs of what remains of her baby weight

Last month Nicole told US Vogue: 'To feel life growing with you is something very, very special. The whole experience is so primal. I like the unpredictable nature of it.'

Nicole, who has two adopted children with ex-husband Tom Cruise, said she was overwhelmed with joy when she found out that she was pregnant.

She was told the happy news in her home town of Sydney, after production for her new film Australia moved from the outback.

She added: 'To be given the blessing of a child at this stage of my life - you just say, "Wow, this was meant to be'''.

Meanwhile, in a message to fans, husband Keith gushed about his ten day old daughter Sunday Rose.

His daughter's unusual name was inspired by Australian artist Sidney Nolan's muse Sunday Reed.

Rose was the name of Urban's late grandmother.

He wrote on his website: 'Like any of you who are parents yourselves, we're experiencing the pure bliss of welcoming her into our lives'.

'We're all doing superbly well and we continue to be absolutely overwhelmed by the outpouring of love and well wishes we are receiving'.

Urban also thanked fans for 'your beautiful notes and prayers'.

And said that  he couldn't wait for Saturday night's stadium show in Philadelphia, his first gig as a father.

But despite the record-breaking photo deals made for photos of Jennifer Lopez and Angelina Jolie's respective twins in recent months, Nicole and Keith Urban won't be following suit.

The couple have refused to sell images of their newborn baby.
