It may have been intended as a glamorous photoshoot, but the dramatic lighting and her slightly dishevelled look made Posh Spice go a little Scary.
Her floor length, strapless ball gown was the final look in a day that saw her change into five different – and rather eccentric – outfits in just a matter of hours.

Night watch: the shoot, which was directed by Elle's creative manager Gilles Bensimon, continued until well after dark
The cover shoot, which is for Elle magazine, was with renowned French photographer and the publication's "creative manager" Gilles Bensimon.
Earlier, Victoria took her obsession with haute couture to a jaw-dropping new extreme, arriving for the shoot in vertiginous heels and a curious orange feather confection that plumed around her tiny frame.
It was her latest effort to carve out her niche as a cutting edge fashionista, but onlookers couldn't help but draw comparisons between puffy Posh and Sesame Street's Big Bird.

The Spice Girl, who has displayed a penchant for ridiculous fashion in recent times, completed the rather dramatic look with dark eye make-up and ever present tan.
She spent the afternoon posing - and of course pouting - at various outfits in the Jardin du Luxembourg and around the streets of Paris.
Posh wrote on her website: "I'm writing my blog to you from a cover photoshoot for American Elle, which I'm doing in Paris."

She added: "It's going really well so far and the clothes I'm wearing are incredible.
Earlier, Posh - who is never one to miss a photo opportunity - strutted out of the Ritz moments before the Diana inquest jury were expected at the venue.
There were three possible routes for Victoria from the hotel to her limousine - she chose to leave across a Place Vendome thronged with media covering the visit of the jurors.

A spokesperson for the Ritz said: "She probably wanted to take a look at what was going on and would have been unaware of the strict procedures governing the inquest."

She was spotted at the Louvre museum last night where designer Marc Jacobs held his show for Louis Vuitton.
Of the collection, Victoria said: "The colours were amazing and the shoes were gorgeous as were the use of different fabrics and sequins."

"Then I was kindly invited to dinner by Marc after the show, with some fascinating people including Sophia Coppola, who is one of Marc's friends and long time muse. She was amazing."
There was no sign of her husband David, who is back in LA after visiting his sick father in London.
