Riding a vintage motorcycle and sporting a raffish moustache, you could be forgiven for thinking he was filming his latest movie.
But this was Orlando Bloom enjoying some time away from the set.
The 30-year-old actor certainly looked the part as he took the Second World War bike for a spin near his Buckinghamshire mansion.
Wearing aviation sunglasses and suave leather gloves, he was the epitome of 1940s cool.
But it did not quite remain that way.

Lord of the revs: Orlando Bloom on his wartime motorcycle
After stopping off for a spot of lunch at his local country pub, the machine stubbornly refused to start.
After repeatedly kickstarting the engine, it spluttered into life - only to cut out again.
With a slightly shamefaced sigh, Bloom checked the petrol tank and was forced to ask his friend to give him a helping hand.
Eventually, after some gentle coercion and a few stern words, the 1941 motorbike began to purr again and the Pirates of the Caribbean star was able to continue on his way.

"He'd attracted quite a large crowd so he seemed pretty mortified when the vehicle wouldn't start after lunch," said a passerby.
"He was forced to work up quite a sweat trying to drum it into action.
"It certainly undermined his otherwise super-suave, quirky image. But he was extremely good-natured about all the fuss he created."
Bloom, a long-time motorcycle enthusiast who once broke his leg in an accident, is believed to have paid around £7,000 for the British Army relic.
