Paris: 'I'm no bimbo'

Paris Hilton has said her 'stupid blonde' phase is over - and compared herself with rap stars who have escaped the streets to become millionaires.

The 25-year-old heiress insisted she was a self-made businesswoman who was inspired by rappers like Dr Dre who flaunt their riches.

She told Blender magazine: 'The stupid blonde stereotype - it was cute for a while. But I'm over that now. I'm really serious as an artist. I'm a businesswoman.'

Hilton was also determined to ditch the image that she was just a lazy rich girl.

'I haven't accepted money from my parents since I was 18. I've done it all on my own, like a hustler,' she said.
