No joy: Peaches Geldof argues with door staff and the manager outside The Ivy club
That's what happened to Peaches Geldof when she tried to get into The Ivy club in Covent Garden last night.
The 20-year-old arrived shortly before midnight with a large group of friends, and her 18-year-old sister Pixie was already inside, as was Gossip singer Beth Ditto.
But the doorman insisted it was too late for such a large group of people, so she wasn't allowed.
An onlooker said: "The manager came down to talk to her, and they began rowing in the doorway. He told her and her friends that they couldn't come in because they would be closing soon and the bar was full.
"Peaches then gave it the 'Don't you know who I am?' spiel, but the manager was having none of it. She told him she wanted to join her sister inside, but he was unrepentant and stood his ground. In the end, he let her stand in the stairwell to phone a cab. It was very embarrassing for her - she looked mortified."
Earlier in the evening, Peaches and her chums went to Fisher Productions' 25th Birthday Party at the Dairy.
Our spy said: "Peaches was chatting to fellow guest Jesse Metcalfe for quite a while. The pair seemed to be getting on quite well as they were giggling and chatting for ages. But she got a little snotty when someone attempted to take a photo of her on their mobile phone without asking.
She was overheard saying to a pal, 'Who the f**k does she think she is?'"
After suffering her indignity at The Ivy, the group went to the St Martin's Lane hotel for drinks before heading back to her hotel at 4am.
