Peaches Geldof lands her own reality show

Most students settle for working on a checkout to fund their next term at university. Not Peaches Geldof.

The 18-year-old has landed herself a much more peachy summer job - her own fly-on-the-wall documentary.

We can reveal that Bob's publicity-hungry daughter will be followed around this summer by Orange mobile phone company for a series, similar to Victoria Beckham's NBC show, to be aired on Channel 4.

Peaches Geldof is set to try her hand as a reality TV star

The series promises footage packed with her exploits and those diva demands for which she is so well known.

"Peaches is an entertaining young woman," explains our source.

"She is funny to watch because she just doesn't care what people think. She will turn up at a party, throw the most enormous strop and then get drunk."

The show will start with Peaches' antics at this weekend's Glastonbury festival, where she is understood to have already irritated the organisers because she has demanded that a gang of her mates have the full VIP treatment too - just like she did at last week's O2 Wireless festival.

Our insider add s : "Peaches always tries to impress her mates by taking them all along to the festivals, even though they haven't got tickets. But she thinks by the time they all get there it will be too late and knows that she will always get her own way."

However, the production team at Orange - who will be putting a taster of Peaches' video diaries on their website orange.co.uk - are also hoping that the show will project a more sensitive side of Bob's middle daughter.

She is happily in a longterm relationship with DJ Fred Les and it is hoped that a lot of the show will focus on that.

Judging by her previous behaviour, the camera crew might well have their work cut out for them trying to show her softer side.

Since she launched her questionable DJ career 18 months ago, she has rarely been out of the news.

In August she was pictured on the front page of a newspaper with a banknote up her nose.

Although there was no suggestion she had been snorting cocaine, she was summoned by her father and lambasted for the company she keeps.

Just a month later she was accused of shoplifting from fashion store Urban Outfitters in Oxford Street.

The accusation was later described as a "misunderstanding".

Our money's on her being just as controversial on camera - she knows that way she'll up the viewing ratings.
