The daughter of Sir Bob Geldof has paid homage to her hero Marilyn Monroe in a new magazine photoshoot, which sees her showing off some of the star's most iconic - and priceless - gowns.

Midas touch: Peaches modelled the gold dress worn by Marilyn Monroe in Gentlemen Prefer Blondes

Peaches was given access to the original dresses seen cult films Gentlemen Prefer Blondes and The Seven Year Itch, which were designed by William Travilla.

It is the first time the outfits have been seen in public for 40 years and they have not been cleaned since they were first worn by the star.

Peaches told Hello! magazine: "I've always admired Marilyn Monroe, and to be asked to model her original dresses is a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity."

"There was always an air of mystery about her and even when she played her dumb blonde roles, she did it with a certain charisma that few can match."

It's the latest string to Peaches' modelling bow - the budding DJ and journalist recently kicked off her new career by starring in a campaign for Australian fashion chain Dotti.

She then took to the catwalk at London Fashion Week for the cult fashion label PPQ.
