Penny's dirty dancing with bad boy Brendan Cole

It was almost enough to make Rod Stewart turn green with envy. Penny Lancaster put on a sizzling display of dirty dancing with smooth-mover Brendan Cole yesterday at a high-society event.

Penny was the celebrity guest at the Duke of Essex Polo Trophy, an annual international polo match between England and Argentina.

Penny won the chance to dance with bad-boy Brendan in a raffle held after the match. She danced in her bare-feet, cheered on by a large crowd lining the dancefloor.

Getting close: Penny and Brendan show their full array of moves

Brendan caused a stir in the last series of popular BBC1 show Strictly Come Dancing after throwing several temper tantrums at the judges who critised his moves.

He is also rumoured to have indulged in an affair with former Come Dancing contestant Natasha Kaplinsky in a previous series of the show.

Penny and Rod, 62, married in the exclusive Italian resort of Portofino last month, but there was no sign of the Scottish crooner at the high-society event.
