Pete dedicates song to 'fiancee' Kate

Singer Pete Doherty described supermodel Kate Moss as his fiancee as he dedicated a song to her during a gig last night.

Moss appeared on stage alongside the Babyshambles frontman as he performed a solo gig at the Hackney Empire in east London.

As he introduced the track KP Nuts, he said: "I am dedicating this song..." before the crowds interrupted him to shout "Kate, Kate". The singer then replied: "Yes, to my fiancee."

Moss then appeared on stage to sing a chorus after she reportedly flew in from Los Angeles especially for the show.

The impromptu double act came during An Evening with Peter Doherty, billed as a show including "poetry, readings and acoustic songs" and some "very special guests".

Moss was wearing a ring on her engagement finger as she performed briefly alongside her boyfriend, who was wearing a grey suit, colourful necklaces and his trademark hat.

An apparent home video of the song, featuring the pair, has already become a hit on the internet after it was posted on YouTube.

Doherty is seen strumming a guitar for the camera while warbling a song as Moss enters the room in a see-through dress with only a pair of knickers underneath.

Throughout the track she swings in a 70s-style chair suspended from the ceiling and kicks her legs to the music.

At one point she interrupts, saying: "Sonny and Cher we're not". YouTube has already recorded some 31,000 hits for the three-minute clip.

Moss and Doherty's rocky on-off relationship has been well-documented since they met at her 31st birthday party at her home in Primrose Hill, north London, in January 2005.

The couple revealed their engagement in October last year and speculation about when and where they will marry has been rife ever since.
