Peter Andre huffs and puffs on a run after vowing to fight the flab 'Rocky' style

Singer Peter was yesterday spotted huffing and puffing his way through an exercise session with his personal trainer.

The 35-year-old pop star's stocky physique looks more suited to the weights room than the running track.

But unlike wife Katie, he's not a fan of cosmetic surgery, preferring to fight the flab the traditional way.

Peter said: "Your body does change when you get in your thirties, so I'm working with an ex-marine to get in shape.

"Forget lipsuction and steroids, I like good old-fashioned Rocky-style training."

Clearly Peter is keen to recover the fit physique he sported in his younger days when he shot to fame as a teen heartthrob, hence the strenuous fitness regime.

Wife Katie recently dismissed rumours that his ballooning weight has put her off him.

She told a newspaper: "That's ridiculous, bull**** stuff. I don't care what he looks like." But the glamour model admitted that he had been on a strick fitness regime for the last two weeks.

She said: "I love him for him. I still fancy him as much as I ever did, definitely."

So romance is still very much alive in the Price-Andre household.

The couple have two children together, Junior, two, and nine-month-old Princess Tiámmii, as well as Katie's son Harvey, five, from her previous relationship with footballer Dwight Yorke.

She continued: "Every day we do something romantic for each other. He runs me a bath, or he'll cook me dinner and put candles on the table.

"We sit and watch telly and snuggle up, and then give each other a little foot massage."

Perhaps Peter will be in need of one after his latest training session.
