Pictures prove Joely Richardson's poorly daughter is in good health

Joely Richardson stunned Hollywood last year when she suddenly quit the smash hit American TV series Nip/Tuck to look after her poorly daughter.

But it seems the decision paid off as this snap of her enjoying a laugh and a joke with 15-year-old Daisy shows.

Clutching soft drinks, the British actress and her daughter looked relaxed and happy as they shopped in the Beverly Hills sunshine.

In November last year, Daisy was due to undergo a series of operations on her legs after gradually developing circulation problems.

Miss Richardson, 42, left her £3million-a-year role in Nip/Tuck, which had catapulted her to fame in the States, to support her child.

She missed the final four episodes of the series and it was unclear if she would ever return.

But, with her daughter clearly doing well, Miss Richardson has now decided to return for 15 of the 22 episodes of the latest season. She is divorced from Daisy's father, film producer Tim Bevan, but they share custody.
