Posh and Katie reunited at the Beckhams' A-list Hollywood joint birthday party

Despite recent rumours of an argument between the Beckhams with Holmes and Cruise, the Scientologist couple looked thrilled to see them as they made their way into the Italian eaterie.

A U.S. magazine claimed Cruise was unhappy with the influence Victoria was reportedly having over his wife's eating habits, who has appeared noticeably skinny of late.

Holmes and Cruise, who celebrated their daughter Suri's second birthday on Friday, arrived at Via Veneto dressed in opposing gold and silver outfits.

Cruise was looking dapper in a silvery-grey pinstripe suite, while his wife towered above him in platform stilettos and a gold shift dress.

Also at the A-list bash was Will Smith and wife Jada Pinkett Smith, Sir Elton John, Gwen Stefani and Gavin Rossdale, Heidi Klum, Eva Longoria Parker, Kate Beckinsale and Len Wiseman, Usher and wife Tameka Foster.

And hip-hop mogul and rapper Sean 'Diddy' Combs sparked reports he has reunited with ex-girlfriend Kim Porter - mother of three of his children - after the pair arrived together arm-in-arm.

Getting the prize for the biggest present of the night was pregnant singer Stefani and rocker husband Rossdale, who arrived clutching two huge gifts and a card addressed to 'D & V' - a joint birthday card for Posh and David, who turns 33 on May 2.

This year, Posh Spice has extended her birthday to five days of celebrating.

On Wednesday - the night before her birthday - she invited Kate Beckinsale and director husband Len and Desperate Housewives star Eva to dine at the latter's new Hollywood restaurant Beso.

Victoria's actual birthday on Thursday was a family affair as she and husband David took their three sons Brooklyn, Romeo and Cruz to the Pink Taco restaurant chain in a Century City shopping mall.
