Prison officials transfer 'stable' Paris Hilton out of medical ward
14 June 2007
Paris Hilton has been transferred out of the medical ward at a Los Angeles County jail and returned to the all-women's facility where she began her sentence for a probation violation more than a week ago, a sheriff's official have confirmed.
Hilton, 26, was brought to the Century Regional Detention Centre around 11pm Wednesday, spokesperson Daryl Meeks said.
Her condition has been described as "stable", however no further medical details were revealed.

The heiress has been transferred back into Lywood's all-women facility
He would not elaborate on where she was housed at the jail in Lynwood.
When she began her sentence there June 3, she was confined to a 12 by 8 foot cell in a special unit away from other prisoners.
During her first stay at Lynwood, fellow detainee Danita Daniel, who was in a neighbouring cell, said: "She was upset the whole time she was there, we could hear her crying all the time. She'd even be wailing and calling out for her mom."
Hilton's case caused a firestorm when she was released from Lynwood last week by sheriff's officials to serve the remainder of her 45-day sentence for violating probation in an alcohol-related reckless driving case in home confinement.

Rick and Kathy Hilton skipped the prison queue during their first visit to see their daughter
An outraged judge sent her back to jail last Friday, and she is expected to be released on June 25.
During her stay in the medical ward, the heiress has received a visit from her sister Nicky Hilton and sometime boyfriend Stavros Niarchos, as well as from her parents.
Multi-millionaires Rick and Kathy Hilton were rushed past queues of waiting people on their first visit to see their daughter, sparking complaints they received special treatment.
After the 30 minute visit, Mrs Hilton said: "She wants to just do her time and get on with it. She really hasn't had much sleep."
Mr Hilton added: Her husband added: "She's weepy but she's doing the best she can. It's hard, but she's hanging in there."
Meanwhile, Paris is to star in an animated series for MTV, according to US reports.
Marvel comics legend Stan Lee is developing the series, his spokesman told the New York Daily News.
The project has been likened to the "Stripperella" cartoon developed by Lee in 2003 for Pamela Anderson.
It will also include a credit for former Hilton boyfriend Paris Latsis.
An unnamed source told the newspaper: "He's not doing much, but she wanted him involved."
A start date has not yet been decided for the series.
