Queen of chavs: Kate dresses as 'Vicky Pollard' for pal's 80s birthday bash

Kate Moss took inspiration for her fancy dress outfit for pal Davinia Taylor's 30th birthday party from an interesting source - chav princess Vicky Pollard.

The 33-year old model looked more Croydon than cosmopolitan as she scraped her blonde locks back into Pollard-style bunches, wore a black pleather (plastic leather) jacket, and wet-look black leggings.

Kate and pals resurrected their costumes from the decade that fashion forgot, in honour of former Hollyoaks actress Davinia's landmark birthday.

And some of the hardest partying celebs in showbiz, including Naomi Campbell Sienna Miller, Sadie Frost, Kelly Osbourne and Rhys Ifans came out in force for Primrose Hill set member Davinia.

Model Naomi Campbell thoroughly embraced the 80s theme, and looked particularly tacky, as she turned up in a pair of unflattering transparent leopard-skin tights with a G-string on top.

Like pal Kate, she wore her hair in Pollard-style bunches, and carried a glow-stick, and whistle for the evening's 80s rave theme.

The night started at boutique hotel The Great Eastern before the celebrity horde descended on trendy Shoreditch club The Colour Rooms for a seven-hour rave.

The residents of St John's Wood must have breathed a sigh of relief as it was revealed Kate was forced to move the birthday bash she'd planned for pal Davinia with just hours to go amid fears the neighbours would be up in arms.

The model sent out two sets of invites to guests, the first stated the bash was a masked ball to be held in Dav's plush north London house.

But with just 12 hours to go, Kate, 33, changed all the plans and told the celebrity guests - including Jade Jagger and Elen Rives - to head to the Colour Rooms in Shoreditch on Saturday night.

Fashion victims: Sienna Miller in a trilby over a white blonde wig, and and boyfriend Rhys Ifans dressed as Duran Duran's Simon Le Bon

The Colour Rooms is a temporary 5,000sq ft venue that has been opened by Sony Bravia.

A source said: "Kate got into a bit of a panic over the neighbours. They've made no secret of how angry they are at the late-night parties and noise lately.

"There was no way the party was going to be a tame affair, so Kate decided at the last minute to change the venue."

Kate's arch-enemy Sienna Miller, put in an appearance with boyfriend Rhys Ifans even though Moss and Miller famously fell out over Sienna's relationship with the Welsh actor.

Sienna's thrown together outfit included a white-blonde wig, and a tiger-print trilby, while Ifans looked as if he were a member of 80s supegroup Duran Duran, in his multi-zip black jacket and Simon le Bon style white sunglasses.

The party even attracted royalty in the form of Fergie's daughter Princess Beatrice, who arrived for the bash with her lesser spotted sister, Princess Eugenie, 17, in tow.

Beatrice headed across town to the party after attending her cousin Peter Phillips, brother of Zara's 30th birthday bash at the Cocoon restaurant at Soho.

Party-pooper: Beckham was a no-show as he is preparing for England's crunch Euro 2008 game

But a disappointed David Beckham, in town for England's crucial Euro 2008 qualifying match with Croatia on Wednesday was forced to give the big bash a miss.

Beckham splashed out £10,000 on a present for pal Davinia Taylor, who is married to Becks's best friend, Dave Gardner - but had to make his excuses when it came to partying with the notoriously boozy "Primrose Hill set" on Saturday night.

The England and LA Galaxy star bought a pair of handmade white gold stud earrings for Davinia but it appeared Becks did not want to be seen partying so soon before the crunch game.

Becks met the couple in The Clifton pub in St John's Wood on Saturday afternoon before the party and he didn't go empty-handed. After handing over the £10,000 earrings he made his apologies for missing her big night.

A source said: "David told Davinia that he couldn't be around all that booze and be seen at such a wild do just days before such an important international game.

"He was really apologetic at missing the party, especially as he's actually in London, but Davinia and Dave said t hey understood."

And perhaps it was for the best - as apparently guests were still partying until 2pm yesterday.
