Rachel voted off I'd Do Anything after losing tense semi-final to bitter rival Samantha

Rachel has become the ninth would-be Nancy to be eliminated from BBC1 talent show I'd Do Anything.

The budding West End star and rival Samantha found themselves in a tense singoff to remain in the hotly contested competition.

But Andrew Lloyd Webber finally decided that it was Rachel who had to go.

Heartbroken: Rachel becomes the latest Nancy to leave I'd Do Anything

The judge said he had an "impossible" choice but added: "I've got to make a decision and I've got to think of where the show ultimately is going to go and I think I have to go with you Samantha."

"I'm absolutely devastated that I didn't make it into the final," Rachel said.

"After getting into the last 12 that was my aim."

The remaining Nancys go through to next weeks final when Jessie, Jodie and Samantha will battle it out for the coveted prize.

Gwion, Harry and Laurence have been announced as the three boys who will share the role of Oliver.

Gwion, 11, is from Carmarthenshire, Harry, 12, from Oxfordshire and Laurence, 11, from Cheshire.
