Sparks have flown between Sylvia and hunky Stuart ever since he entered the house and now it has emerged that the pair did know each other before entering the house, and even shared a passionate kiss.

A source told the Daily Star: 'We have a few one-week trial runs before the real show, just to see how different personalities react to each other.

'Stu and Sylvia were explosive. They had a full-on fling and ended up kissing passionately.

'Producers insisted they should be put in the main programme. We were hoping for romance to blossom.

'But Stuart isn't having any of it. We fear he realises just how unpopular Sylvia has become and doesn't want to be tainted by it.

Housemates and viewers both noticed the change in Sylvia's behaviour when the good-looking 25-year-old entered the house.

Sylvia has trailed him around, and even hopped into the fit housemate's bed for a chat and a cuddle just hours after his arrival.

But now it appears the 21-year-old has been desperately trying to rekindle the short-lived romance she enjoyed with the fitness trainer when they met weeks before BB9 even started.

But a BB spokesperson denies the couple was romantically linked: 'Following Stuart's entrance, Big Brother informed viewers, via voiceover, that Sylvia and Stuart had met.

'There is no romantic history between them.'
