Saint Kylie continues good deeds Down Under with a children's hospital visit

She has made no secret of her wish to start a family. So it was no surprise Kylie Minogue couldn't resist cuddling this baby on a visit to a children's hospital.

The 39-year-old singer, who has overcome breast cancer, spent several hours with seriously ill youngsters in Sydney - before jetting off to Los Angeles.

"Kids who hadn't smiled in ages had a smile on their face as soon as they saw her," a spokeswoman for the singer said.

Kylie made time for the hospital stop between a string of interviews to promote her new album, X.

During her stay in Australia, the star, who has long expressed her desire to have children of her own, revealed she is dating again following her highly-publicised split from French actor Olivier Martinez early last year.

Kylie told one interviewer she believed Mr Right is 'making his way' when asked whether she was dating again following her split with French actor Olivier Martinez early last year

"I enjoy dating so I'm not totally alone," she told the Sunrise program.

"Don't worry about it. It's not that long ago that I came out of my last relationship."

Kylie admitted she had not had much time to look for Mr Right, but is certain he's not far off, saying: "I'm sure he's making his way."

Soft touch: Kylie spent more than two hours making her way through the hospital wards

It was in May 2005 that she shocked her fans by announcing she had been diagnosed with breast cancer, forcing her to pull out of her Showgirl tour.

After a year of treatment she resumed the tour with a series of triumphant comeback shows.

She was awarded an OBE in the New Year's Honours list in December and on Monday was nominated in the best international female category in the Brit awards.

Dates for her 2008 tour were released last month and sold out in minutes.

Today she flies to LA to film videos for her next two singles Wow and In My Arms.
