Say ohm: Kate Moss trades hard partying for yoga and detox

Kate Moss and her close friend Sadie Frost have started a joint detox regime together - but it didn't take very long before the supermodel was tempted by one of her indulgent gang.

Sadie, 42, cleanses her system every year but this year 34-year-old Kate has decided to join in - munching on bucket loads of garlic and tomato sauce made by Sadie's mum Mary Davidson.

But fellow party lover Davinia Taylor was the first to try and push Kate off the wagon, turning up at her St John's Wood house last night dressed to the nines.

She tried to convince Kate to come out for a night on the tiles, but the supermodel was having none of it.

A source says: "Sadie regularly detoxes, especially in Spring, to lose a few pounds for the summer. She usually has the better willpower, but Kate is particularly determined to stick it out this year after a heavy few months.

"They have cut out dairy, pasta, potatoes, meat and fish. They keep themselves going through the day with Sadie's mum's sauce spread over crispbread.

"Sadie has cut out alcohol but that was a step too far for Kate. She has promised to cut down but didn't want to cut it out completely."

Kate hopes the detox will leave her skin looking fresher, as her penchant for fry-ups hasn't been helping recently.

She is a big fan of fried eggs and chips at an anonymous greasy spoon café in Lissom Grove, and the bets are already on to see how long she can last on the strict diet.

The source added: "She has also taken up yoga to help tone herself up."

The yoga seemed to be going well, although there was a slight hiccup yesterday.

Kate went for her session at The Life Centre in Kensington and tried to make a swift getaway by running to her waiting car. There was just one problem though — her driver was fast asleep in the back seat.

Kate jumped in and almost landed on his lap — much to his surprise.

Luckily she saw the funny side and giggled as he woke with a start, leaping out and getting into the front seat where he belonged.

They then sped off, heading to the Oxford Street HQ of Topshop — where she has her own clothing line — for a quick meeting with senior staff and, no doubt, a bit of a browse around the jewellery and clothes.
