Screaming, bickering and Posh demands... Spice Girls return with another Tesco ad

The newly reunited Spice Girls have given a cheeky nod to rumours of friction between the group in a new ad for supermarket giant Tesco.

In the clip, the singers, who kicked of their world tour in Vancouver last night to rave reviews, argue over what to have for Christmas dinner, with Victoria Beckham causing uproar after demanding expensive lobster.

Bickering: Geri decides the group will have to shop separately after fighting over what to eat

They ultimately hit Tesco after deciding to shop for separate meals, but Posh again upsets the group when she reveals during the meal that she's already opened her presents.

The Spice Girls have pocketed £5million - a cool £1million each - as faces of chain, despite the fact Posh is on record as saying her favourite shop is M&S.

Despite persistent reports of real tension between the group, Geri Halliwell insisted yesterday they more like family than friends.

Miss Halliwell, 34, said in rehearsals before the show: "I do not have a relationship with anyone else like I do with the girls.

"It is like family - sometimes I'm sure I get on their nerves and they get on mine but I love them on such a base level."

Fight: the girls battle for attention from the shop assistant

Geri, Victoria, Melanie Brown, and Emma Bunton all have children of their own, and Ginger describes the team as "working mothers."

Between rehearsals, they have also been attending to sick children.

Geri revealed: "Bluebell caught chicken pox off Cruz. She's completely pelted. Normally they're running around the set."

The Spice Girls tour continues tonight in San Jose, California.
