She's so vein... Madonna's hands look worse than ever

She may have been wearing rose-coloured glasses, but not even Madonna could ignore the eye-popping state of her hands as she left London's Cecconi's restaurant last night.

The singer, who left the hotspot with her eyes downcast, has long kept a youthful physique with vigorous exercise and careful diet.

But at 49, it is her wrinkled and vein-ravaged hands that reveal she is battling to defy the signs of ageing.

Getting to grips: Madonna stepped out in London last night

So vein: the singer's hands show severe signs of ageing

Expert plastic surgeons say skin on hands is particularly susceptible to losing its plumpness over time and have noted that it is one of the parts of the body which betray a person's age.

While treatments are available, Madonna may have trouble fitting much into her already busy schedule.

According to the New York Post, the singer is planning to launch another world tour to mark her 50th birthday in August next year.
