Showgirl to showroom for Kylie

Kylie has already shown her skills in the area of design

She is best known for her raunchy dance routines but Kylie Minogue is ditching her gold hotpants - for curtains.

The singer, who already has her own beachwear line on sale at H&M, is to launch her own home furnishings brand for John Lewis and Debenhams.

"Kylie has been in meetings this month finalising details," says a friend of the 39-year-old star.

"She has designed bed linen, towels and curtains which will be available in stores next year."

Kylie, who is worth a reported £56million, already markets her own fragrance and has an eponymous lingerie line.

Friends say the pop diva, who has been spotted back together with old flame Olivier Martinez, is keen to expand her empire.

"She designed the line with friend and stylist William Bakerand contracts are being signed," adds the friend.
