Sian Lloyd celebrates her 50th by dressing up in leather for a sexy Madonna tribute

Most people would be happy to celebrate their 50th birthday with a few drinks and a slice of cake.

But weathergirl Sian Lloyd took a different approach to reaching the milestone age.

The TV personality posed in a raunchy leather outfit in a tribute to Madonna, who also celebrates her half-century this year.

The weather presenter celebrated her birthday on 3rd July and the Queen of Pop will turn 50 on 16th August.

Speaking exclusively to Hello! magazine she said: 'Madonna is an iconic woman and I admire her for the way she constantly reinvents herself.'

'I have never had a fear of middle age. I didn’t have it at 40 and I certainly don’t at 50.

'It is meant to be a milestone but I have no sense of anticipation at all. I want to look good at my age, not for my age.

'That’s why I would never have a facelift. I have a low pain threshold but, apart from that, I don’t want to look surgically enhanced.

'Working in my business, you see all these wind-tunnel face-lifts and people Botoxed up to the eyeballs and it looks so false.'

'I don’t hanker after my 20s and 30s, and now my 40s. I have never felt old in my life and never will.

'Like most women I am terribly body-conscious and prone to the odd body crisis, my knees are more Maradona than Madonna but I have learnt to live with them.'

She adds: 'I aspire to be like the French women. They don’t go for the Barbie doll plastic look, with the breast surgery, nose jobs, veneered teeth and false nails. Look at Carla Bruni – she would rather die than look like that.'

Much of Sian’s sparkle is thanks to her husband of six months, motor-racing entrepreneur  Jonathan Ashman.

The couple were introduced 15 months ago by former Welsh Secretary Peter Hain and married last December in Portmeirion, North Wales.

She told Hello!: 'I am so lucky to have him. You heave a huge sigh of relief when at last you have found the right person.

'A happy relationship increases your appetite for life and rejuvenates you in a way a medical procedure never could. I celebrate each year that comes, as things just seem to get better.'

The couple married last year after her relationship with Lib Dem MP Lembit Opik, ended. He subsequently took up with Cheeky Girl Gabriela Irimia.
