Drew Barrymore has split from her actor boyfriend Justin Long after less than a year of dating.
The E.T. actress, 33, and Long, 30, started dating on the set of romantic comedy He's Just Not That Into You last August, after being friends for seven years.
Barrymore's rep confirmed the split to Us Weekly and People magazines, saying: 'I can confirm the split with no additional comment.'

Despite the split, a source close to the couple tell Us Weekly: 'They are still friends.'
The split has come as a surprise after both stars had recently proclaimed how happy they were in their burgeoning romance.
In March, Barrymore told Vogue magazine: 'I'm so happy my cheeks hurt.'
When the couple appeared together on the Oprah Winfrey Show in March, Long said: 'She's the most compassionate person I've ever met.'
Despite their split, they insist they remains friends and will be expected to share the red carpet together when their movie premieres in February next year.
He's Just Not That Into You, co-starring Jennifer Aniston, Ben Affleck and Scarlett Johansson, was originally scheduled for release this October, but has been delayed until February 2009.
Barrymore's split from Long is just the latest in a string of publicised heartbreaks for the actress.
She dated Strokes drummer Fabrizio Moretti for five years before they went their separate ways in January 2007, and also dated Gwyneth Paltrow's actor ex Luke Wilson from 1996 until 1999.
The actress has two failed marriages to Welsh bar owner Jeremy Thomas, which lasted five weeks, and Canadian comedian Tom Green, from July 2001 until October 2002.
