Emotional: The singer has admitted the last few years have taken their toll

Dressed in a plunging white gown, the singer appeared to have lost her previous curves and looked drained and haggard.

After a long standing ovation from dedicated fans, Celine was joined onstage by her husband and manager Rene Angelil and their seven-year-old son Rene Charles-Angelil.

Scrawny: The bones in Celine's back are clearly visible

Although the show was initially panned by critics it has went on to be a resounding success, making her £125million, and testimony to the singer's ability as a performer.

Celebrity fans of the show include Prince, who has been three times, and Justin Timberlake.

Despite this, in an interview with the Guardian last week she admitted she was ready for a break: "In the beginning I needed to prove myself to the industry. Not any more."
