Skinny Cheryl Cole can't hide the pain as she goes back to work

Thinner: Cheryl Cole headed back to work yesterday with group Girls Aloud looking skinnier than ever despite reuniting with love-cheat husband Ashley Cole

Sad Cheryl Cole looked worryingly thin today as she returned to work with her Girls Aloud band members for an appearance on a TV show.

Dressed in a short white fitted shift, and fashionable Terry De Havilland platform soled shoes, Cheryl, 24, cut a forlorn figure and looked decidedly downcast as she arrived at the MTV studios in Central London.

And as she walked with her hands in the pocket of her chic shift dress, it wasn't apparent whether she had taken to wearing her wedding ring again yet.

It appears Newcastle-born Cheryl is still feeling the stress following the revelations that husband Ashley, 27, had cheated on her with blonde hairdresser Aimee Walton.

The singer moved back into their Surrey mansion over a week ago to give Ashley a second chance, but the relationship remains on very rocky ground with Cheryl finding it a struggle to forget his cheating ways.

Friends and family of the star have said she's still not eating properly they have become increasingly worried about her drastic weight loss.

A source told Now Magazine: "We are all urging her to eat more because she's lost so much weight over the past few weeks.

"Her legs are particularly thin. She's been under so much stress that she's lost her appetite."

Cheryl who recently proclaimed she is "still in love with Ashley" is determined to get her marriage back on track, but she is said to be struggling to be intimate with her philandering husband again.

A source told Heat magazine: "Cheryl is so upset by what's happened and she has found it very difficult when Ashley touches her.

"She hates it...and said it made her feel sick, knowing her husband had been with someone else. He makes her skin crawl."

Grovelling: Ashley, seen leaving club Chelsea yesterday, is said to be doing everything he can to make things up to Cheryl, but she said she can't bear to be touched by him

She is reportedly imposing a ban on sex for next six months as a "test," which the Chelsea defender has agreed to in a bid to win her back.

Ashley, who married Cheryl in a fairytale ceremony at Wrotham Park, Hertsmere, Hertfordshire, in July 2006 is said to be doing everything he can to make things up to her.

A friend said: "He barely goes out. After training, it's straight home to Cheryl. He's not even taking calls from his closest team-mates so he can focus on Cheryl and prove he's sorry."

Nadine Coyle, 22, was all smiles as she showed off her perfect pins, while Sarah Harding flashed a full grin and her pearly white teeth, opting for comfort in casual jeans and a pair of flat boots.
