Sneak peek: Garbage singer Shirley Manson plays terrifying Terminator in new TV series

She found fame as the lead singer of British band Garbage, but now Shirley Manson is a fully-fledged actress, with a starring role in a major US TV series.

These tantalising photos show Manson, who stars in Terminator: The Sarah Connor Chronicles, morphing from a disguise as a urinal into a terminator.

In the dramatic scenes that follow, her character is then seen killing an employee.

The Scottish singer plays Catherine Weaver, the CEO of Cyberdyne, a cutting edge hi-tech company, in the spin-off of the Terminator movies which starred Arnold Schwarzenegger.

Shirley's role will be a series regular in the second season, due to air in the US later this autumn. Lena Headey stars as Sarah Connor in the show.
