A crest fallen Willie Thorne, pictured with dance partner Erin Boag, is told of the judges decision to vote him out of the show
In Saturday night's show Judge Bruno Tonioli had told Thorne his dancing style resembled "a polar bear in the Sahara".
Head judge Len Goodman, who awarded him six out of ten, said: "Impeccable footwork. I looked at your feet and there were no balls when there should have been heels.
"Your posture, it's all those years of popping the green... it will get better, of course it will."
But on Sunday night's elimination show, all four judges elected for Willie to walk after he failed to impress them in the dance-off with Barnes.

The bottom two: After the public had voted, the judges had to choose who to axe from between John Barnes and Willie Thorne
Thorne and dance partner Erin Boag had danced the tango, while Barnes had elected for the jive.
The competition continues next week when the couples will perform either the American Smooth or the Samba.
Last dance: Its the end of the show for Willie Thorne, but John Barnes gets to dance another week
