Sophie Anderton checks into rehab for drug addiction and depression treatment

Shamed model Sophie Anderton was heading into rehab at the Priory clinic last night after being exposed as a cocaine abuser and a prostitute.

The model's parents issued a statement to confirm she was going into treatment, and asking that she be left alone.

The model was believed to be seeking treatment for cocaine addiction and severe depression after being exposed as a £10,000-a-night hooker by a Sunday newspaper, which also filmed her snorting three lines of cocaine.

Last night a family friend revealed: "Sophie is absolutely shattered. Everyone is terrified about her state of mind."

According to The Sun, her mother and stepdad John Deacon issued a statement yesterday, saying Sophie was going into treatment and asking that she be left alone.

The friend added: "Sue and John have been worried sick. But hopefully she is in the right place now."

Earlier this week Sophie defended the shocking allegations by telling pals that she just gets lonely and wanted to earn some money for her future. A close confidant of the model, who made her name with Gossard bras, is now trying to get her to sort her life out once and for all.

A source said: "She's been screaming and crying down the phone to her friends yelling 'it's all over'. She has been beside herself.

"Sophie has hit rock bottom and she's terrified she's ruined her career forever.

"Sophie knows that she's been no angel in the past but she feels totally ashamed that she's been caught out like this."

To make matters even worse Sophie, who lost a £100,000 modelling contract with Fake Bake after the scandal was revealed, is terrified a sex tape she made with her ex, footballer Mark Bosnich, will now surface.

Sources say she's also devastated and "deeply ashamed" about how this will affect her mum and dad.

According to pals, Sophie was planning to go and stay with her mother and was not convinced rehab was the best course of action. But now it appears she has changed her mind.

A source said: "She has said that she would rather save the money she would spend on rehab for her home and future, but pals think that they can change her mind."

It was reported on Sunday that the model, who has appeared in I'm A Celebrity, Cirque De Celebrité and Love Island, stripped to her G-string and stilettos and spread herself across a bed, bragging: "I'm great at sex."

The 30-year-old beauty, who had publicly claimed she had won her decade-long battle with drugs, also said: "Everyone takes drugs, I've got some on me, do you want a line?"
