Target: Anderton called police after getting 75 texts in week
A man was arrested on suspicion of harassment after allegedly bombarding the catwalk star with disturbing texts. The man, in his fifties, was also allegedly seen outside her home in Hammersmith, west London.
Anderton, 31, was first alerted to the man last week when she received a few texts on her phone but then was sent more than 75 in one week.
She contacted police twice to say she had spotted a man outside her home. A police source said: "The implication of the messages was that he was watching her movements. When she received the first set, she went outside and saw him hanging around. She was shocked anyone knew her number or where she lived."
The man was reportedly traced through phone records. He was released on conditional bail and is due to report back to police in June.
Anderton has lived alone since splitting from property millionaire Ed Buxton, 32, in November.
